I want to Fly Home

This is truly a biographical phase interpreting snapshots of emotional encounters. The melancholy and solitude I felt, was represented through an empty chair. The waiting, the vicarious rootless ness felt by my brother who was overseas, and my longing to see him at the door step. The bird with clipped wings is the migratory creature who knows the time and suitability to make the journey is yet to come. The portraiture of my family using the dining table as the backdrop remains one of my favourite painting even today.
